About Nigel
Nigel Kent is a CeMAP-qualified Mortgage and Protection Adviser with Anderson Reed Financial Services.
Nigel has lived and worked from Mablethorpe since March 2022 and now supports mortgage and protection customers there and across East Lincolnshire. This describes his established connection to the area and does not imply that he has worked as a mortgage adviser since 2022.
He can assist first-time buyers, people moving home, homeowners considering a remortgage, and landlords exploring buy-to-let finance. Read our mortgage information for Mablethorpe and East Lincolnshire for local property and application questions to consider.
He can also help clients whose employment, credit history, or wider circumstances may require a more detailed assessment, subject to individual circumstances and lender criteria. You can check your credit report with Check My File before speaking with him.
Telephone and video appointments are available. Evening, weekend and in-person appointments at a customer’s location can be arranged in advance.
A methodical, practical approach
Before moving into financial services, Nigel spent many years working in software, business systems, and technology. That experience developed a methodical, problem-solving approach that now shapes the way he works with mortgage clients: understanding the complete situation, explaining complicated information in plain English, and keeping close attention to the details.
Nigel also contributes to the development of Anderson Reed’s website, calculators, and online resources. His aim is to make it easier for clients to understand the figures and questions that matter before beginning a mortgage application.

Commission disclosure: We are a credit broker and not a lender. We have access to an extensive range of lenders. Once we have assessed your needs, we will recommend a lender or lenders that provide suitable products to meet your personal circumstances and requirements, though you are not obliged to take our advice or recommendation. Whichever lender we introduce you to, we will typically receive commission from them after completion of the transaction. The amount of commission we receive will normally be a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow from the lender. Commission paid to us may vary in amount depending on the lender and product. The lenders we work with pay commission at different rates. However, the amount of commission that we receive from a lender does not have an effect on the amount that you pay to that lender under your credit agreement.
